A small studio, deliberately.
AphixLabs builds custom business systems — CRMs, websites, AI integrations and the marketing that feeds them. We are small on purpose, and we work remotely with clients across Canada and the United States.
Why small matters
Agencies scale by hiring juniors and putting a senior name on the proposal. The person who sold you the work is rarely the person who does it. We took the opposite approach: fewer clients, senior attention on every engagement, and the people you talk to are the people building your system.
The trade is honest — we cannot take twenty projects at once. If we are booked, we will tell you rather than queue you behind work we cannot staff.
Remote-first, deliberately
We are a digital studio. Discovery happens over video, sprints are demoed remotely, and the work is delivered continuously rather than presented at a big reveal. That means geography is not a constraint: we work with clients across Canada and take on U.S. engagements where the fit is right. Bilingual English and French builds are standard.
It also means we are available in a way a local firm with a full calendar often is not.
What we actually believe
- Custom is not always the answer. When an off-the-shelf platform genuinely fits your process, that is what we will tell you. A badly-fitted custom build is worse than a well-fitted product.
- You should own what you paid for. Every line of code, yours. No licensing traps, no hostage situations, no black boxes.
- Fixed scope protects both sides. A written scope before development starts means we cannot pad and you cannot drift. Everyone knows what "done" means.
- Fabricated metrics are worse than none. Our current engagements are in build, so we publish no conversion lifts or revenue figures. When there are real numbers, they will be real.
- The demo is the proof. Anyone can write a case study. The live CRM on our home page is a fully working system you can break in your browser right now.
How we charge
Project work is fixed scope and fixed price, quoted against a written specification. Ongoing marketing runs month to month with no long-term contract, because if we are not producing value you should be able to stop. That keeps our incentives pointed the right way.
